I got the steamed platter that I loved, but you need some time to eat it and it's very messy, but I would order it again. My husband got the fried platter. It was a lot of food and good, but the crab cakes tasted somewhat like a super sized hush puppy,and it got left on the plate.
We love the chargrilled oysters! And the Bang Bang Shrimp was pretty tasty as well!
Food was good but food service and waiter service was a little slow.

It seemed to take a long time for the food ordered to reach the table
manager and server were very accommodating and friendly.
House salad and shrimp cocktail were very good. The shrimp with chili sauce was excellent. Crab cakes were dry and overdone with too much breading. Took them home and will remove crust and try to doctor them up.
The food was average and nothing special. I wanted a pina colada but they were out. The atmosphere was fun but the live music was not that great.
This is a great place and the music was great also. We ate outside, and could watch the boats come into the marina closeby.
We ordered the shellfish bucket, and it was extraordinary!
Service was a little subpar for a Sunday lunch service. Food was decent for what we had, which was American fare. Pricing was consistent for tourists in the upscale Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
Eating outside inn the evening air is the way to go, the live music was wonderful. The music wasn't so loud that you couldn't talk and enjoy each others company, which it wasn't at all venues. Great place to eat, the food was delicious, grilled oysters where awesome, the crab/shrimp boil was too. .
Best grouper and shrimp tacos in Destin!! We've always had great food and service.
The yellowfin dip was served with saltine crackers and was not flavorful at all. The fish/shrimp platter was mediocre. Hammerheads is not a place for a foodie to visit.
Staff is friendly, and dog friendly, waitress was very good, accommodating our special requests with ease.

Great food, great atmosphere, we loved it there. It had a great view of the boats docked, lots of yachts! The weather was perfect, a guitar player sang Sweet Melissa, Brown Eyed Girl - Loved it all!
The restaurant is at the water's edge, has a view of a boat harbor and beyond. It was a beautiful outdoor setting with a wonderful guitar player singing Brown Eyed Girl, Sweet Melissa, added so much to the experience. Loved everything about this place!

Ordered a cheeseburger for the kids. Received a burger with no cheese. I ordered blackened grouper tacos and received grilled shrimp tacos, which wasn't even on the menu. We waited an extremely long time for the server to return with the check.

Took over 30 mins before we walked out because nobody came to our table. Hostess convinced us to stay and she would get a server immediately. Asked for med and med/well burgers. They were both well and burnt. Took forever to get the bill and when she dropped it off we instantly handed over the card and she still walked away without taking it so we had to continue to wait. We fed the meal to our dogs. (literally)

While I appreciate your being on Restaurant.com, I still found it to be too expensive for what we ordered. I had the grouper and my son had the kid's filet. They were mediocre, but honestly we probably will not do it again until fall. If Baytowne restaurants/ shops wish to stay afloat, then I would suggest having a better locals' incentive or happy hour.
The filet was excellent.
Service was great. Food "good", gumbo needed more than 2 very small shrimp, great flavor but needed more gumbo basics. Mixed drink was thin. Tuna appetizer should have had vinegarette instead of evoo on the greens. Entrees were very good.

We ate the early bird from 4-6pm and the food was very good and very large portions. The key lime pie and the bread pudding were excellent.

The atmosphere was casual. The food was unremarkable and very pricey. $40 lobster was the size of two jumbo shrimp. Typical for tourist trap.

Waiter was in a rush and brought the bill out before we were finished eating. Was not helpful in the wine selection as there were two different menus to select the wine very confusing. The chief has cut way back on the food portions served very dis-appointed on this last visit and may not be back again. I have been a loyal customer since 2010

We have been coming here for at least 8 yrs and the portion size has dwindled considerably and the prices have gone up , after spending 70 on a seafood bucket for 2 people you should not leave hungry...disappointed...our rolls that we had to ask for several times were hard as a rock, and the service could not have been slower...refills on drinks came once after again asking a few times...probably will not return

We had a GREAT dining experience from beginning to end. Our server, Naheem, was very helpful and attentitive. Everyones meal from bread, to appetizers, to entrees, to desserts were PERFECTLY cooked and seasoned. I have lived in this area for 8 months, and it's the best meal I've had since relocating. We WILL return for sure!

Food was pretty good, but waiters seemed too busy and were running around acting flustered (one in particular, not ours) and it was distracting and annoying. Also, I sat on the outside of the table and space was tight between my chair and the chair of another person behind me. Instead of going around the table the other way, waiters kept coming by my chair and bumping into it. Distracting meal, kind of disappointing!

We had excellent service. The red snapper was great, but the diah could use a bit of a green vegetable on it. My son wishes that that shrimp Alfredo was back on the kid's menu. We love Poppy's and will continue to dine there monthly.

Short ribs was actually a beef shank. Beer was warm. Waiter spilled my beer in my lap. Asked for cocktail sauce and did not receive until almost done. Shrimp & grits only 4 shrimp!

Prices at this establishment have escalated significantly over the past few years. For us, it's almost to the point where the price exceeds the quality. Also, the prices have increased, while the portions have decreased.

Went to Florida on vacation. Robert our server was excellent and helpful. Very personable. View of Harbor was super! Red Snapper was outstanding...everything was great. It was our anniversary meal.
Poppy's was difficult to find,even with GPS. Server talked down to us, food was overpriced and the portions were tiny. Drink took 20 minutes to arrive even though we were at the table closest to the bar. Very very disappointed, because we went there for my son's 18th birthday.

Food and wine were overpriced for portion sizes. Main server was lukewarm and heard other servers complaining about patio door they had to use to get to patio outside. We did have a male server drop off appetizers and helped us with wine selection who was very courteous and professional. Food was good, but nothing spectatacular. View to harbor was amazing and location and restaraunt were beautiful.
the food is just "average" but prices are too high for just "average tasting food" just my opinion
The seafood bucket "Duce" was amazing and enough food for a family of 4. Our server was very good-knowlegeable and friendly. Thank you!
