We dined outside because we have two small dogs, and it was great because they immediately turned on the heaters. The best Chicken Club sandwich you'll ever have. Great prices. Great service. Great food.
We love the English fish and chips and Boston clam chowder. It is a very casual restaurant that is dog-friendly.

Great food and great service! It was smaller than expected and a little noisy on a busy day.
I had the red snapper. Personally I would have liked a little spice rubbed onto the fish to complement all the other fund sides. Otherwise an interesting dish. Would ask that there was a little more time between appetizers and main course delivery. Some of us had not finished the apps before the mains arrival and fish needs to be eaten immediately.

They have crammed tables so close together that it was uncomfortable. Then a huge guy sat down next to us with a BOOMING voice, and we could not even converse. Take some tables out and give people a little space! Our waitress was adorable.
I always have a great time! The food is terrific... the place is a little crowded on weekends, but worth the wait.

Okay service, nice outdoor seating, consistently good food
We were hungry for English fish and chips and were not disappointed. Portions were big enough to share. We shared a cup of clam chowder, but I have had better. Service was great. We will return.

I was pleased to order pieaya for lunch and , as the owner told me last year, I could have it anytime. It was great and a treat that my party had for the first time.
Flaherty's is our most favorite place to eat. We have noticed that the food isn't quite the same as it was a few years ago. We can get fries anywhere, bring back the yummy rice with the cranberries.

Wonderful staff so friendly and hospitable. I feel so welcomed. The timing of my meal is always spot on and never rushed or hurried. The food is AMAZING Love the Crab Cakes!!

Sat at the bar and maybe the shift was just starting. But service VERY slow to get our drinks, etc.

Everything was great except that the swordfish with gnocci was swimming in a butter bath. The calamari was good but very greasy and needed to be drained. Loved our server Nicole!
We felt that the waitress was quite hurried and when taking our order for drinks and meal. we never saw her again. then someone else brought our meal and someone else finished up with clearing and getting our desert and coffee order - she was very nice and helpful while we were dealing with getting the restaurants.com coupon ready for her to use.
They had to find out if they were still open while I waited by the front door. After being seated I was told, basically, to hurry up and order as they were closing the kitchen. Not in those words, but that was the point my server was making before I even had a chance to open the menu. Not good.

The service was very good and the food tasty. The fish and chips could have been a little warmer. It was more warm than hot.
We had the Oysters and Bistro entrees - Brioche Lobster Melt and Lobster Tacos. The lobster melt was good, maybe a little too much mayo in the lobster. The lobster Taco's were a little light on the lobster, and heavy on the sauces. The oysters, were a little dry, not shucked carefully, but otherwise ok.
The servers were attentive & courteous. The fish & crab tasted fresh. It was a delicious dinner.
Only wish that we could have had the dinner entre for lunch, but I understand it was not prepped.

Fantastic place to eat and relax. I was on vacation and decided to stop and indulge. Glad I did. I highly recommend this place to everyone that loves seafood.

Sometimes we find the food good and sometimes only fair, so we have decided to frequent restaurants other than Flahertys as it is just not consistently excellent. The staff were pleasant and tried but the dish was just not flavorful--very bland.

Clam chowder breadbowls on menu, but not available. Clam chowder tasteless, with few clams, and particles that had consistency of rice (shredded potato?)...some of the worst clam chowder I've had (and I've had a lot).
Service was excellent, we had a very nice table outside, the food was awesome, oysters were really fresh and so good. I plan to dine there again.
Vary touristy place -- seems more so than other restaurants in Carmel. Somewhat noisy with families with kids.

Service was incredibly slow and the restaurant was not busy (5:00 pm). The food was less than good. We didn't even finish eating it. Server was not friendly. We will definitely NOT be going back. Prices are too high for the poor quality of food served.

Server was very good. Nice easy atmosphere. We ordered crab cakes benedict, which was outstanding, and sand dabs,which was disappointing (the lemon butter sauce was lumpy and poorly prepared.

This was my second gift card to Flaherty's Seafood Grill. The first time was good. The second time I didn't like the clam chowder. I have a third gift card with Flaherty's and I would like to exchange it for another restaurant.
Best seafood I've had in the area. Ordered the Jambalaya, it was out of this world!

it seems the food and service has gone downhill. My friend had the soup and she couldn't even eat it - too salty. Told them and they didn't even offer to get her anything else. I asked for my hamburger to be medium and it was very rare - when I told the waitress she acted like it was a big deal to fix it so I told her not to bother. To finally get our orders taken we had to interrupt two of them talking. Then it took a bit for one to finally come over.

It was just okay ... kind of expected more from such an upscale place.
The restaurant is very noisy and many diners had to share one long table down the middle--even if they came in alone or as a couple. Some of the food was excellent--the calimari appetizer was delicious. The clam chowder was awful--there is some spice or herb in it that made it inedible--& we've eaten many different clam chowders! My lobster sandwich was very good but my husband's crab sandwich was very dry and not very tasty. It took quite a while to be noticed and served but once we were, the service was very good.

When we come to Carmel it is the one of the places we eat that can't be missed and sometimes we go twice on our visit. Great sand dabs!!
We found the food very enjoyable and the weather was good for the outside tables.
Service was great. Our server even brought some club soda and a clean towel when she noticed that I spilled a bit on my white shirt. Her actions were much appreciated. Our food was very tasty. Not that you can change it, but the tables are so close that I feel as if I'm listening in on someone else conversation and vice versa. We will be back next time we are in Carmel.

There is a wide selection of food to chose from on the menu, and the location in Carmel is very nice.

We were visiting Monterey and decided to eat from Restaurant.com. This was our first time at Flaherty's Grill. What a treat! The service was great and the food was superb!

We were not asked if we wanted our appetizer of Calamari in strips or rings & tenacles. We only found out later upon leaving that we had an option, when I said that our Calamari appetizer was NOT good.....and few pieces.TOO BAD, as the Haddock fish and chips was good!

waitress was fabulous - giving "home town" hospitality & service. a little noisy in the oyster bar; would have preferred the dining room, but wanted an earlier seating.
There were hits and misses. The kids liked their food but my husband and I were not impressed. Ordered the clam chowder, flavor was off. Also had the lobster sandwich, but tasted more like crab meat. Service was great and we got free dessert.

Yesenia and Nicole were very helpful with our reservations and accommodating our pup. They visited our table often to ask if we were comfortable, how our pup was doing and if the service was acceptable. Carlos was a fabulous waiter. The food was as always delicious!!! Thank you Carlos, Nicole and Yesenia for a wonderful experience.
It was busy as they had a tour come in about the same time, but the hostess and waiters found a nice spot for us and gave us excellent service and we did not have to wait.

Food took a long time to arrive. Server did offer us a cup of soup because of the long delay which did help but maybe an explanation would have been nice as well.

We live in Carmel & overall the food at Flaherty's was disappointing. The paella had TWO(2) clam & TWO (2) mussels & no chorizo as stated, mostly rice & 2 meals came out 5 minutes after the others. The plate was mostly rice. This is the 2nd time we have not enjoyed our meal in the past 4 months. It is really over priced for the quality.We'll not be returning. Sad but true.
