Lunch is always a joy here. We adore their lightly breaded Catfish entree with vegetable especially with added avocado salsa and side of pasta salad. All fresh ingredients prepared to customer satisfaction. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, nice variety of choices on the menu. Building is very cozy with a lot of charm.
Enjoyed having dinner, but the bartender seemed to be stretched too thin to cover all the customers at the bar and the restaurant with drinks. She did a great job , but it was hard to get service at first.

We were seated in the porch area which was very loud. When the waitress came and brought water she told us there was one special but they haven’t made it up yet and she would come back and let us know. She walked away and never asked if we wanted a drink. About five minutes later she came back tell us the special my friend and I each ordered Panini‘s and then had to order our drinks which she still hadnt asked if we wanted. What came was not a Panini. Our sandwiches were on fat hoagie rolls. My friend had the mediterranean chicken panini. Chicken was was very dry and her broccoli Rob was cold. Was to be a warm sandwich. I had smoked salmon panini...was zok....just way to much bread. The waitress never came back to refill our drinks....just brought our check after We said we didn’t want dessert.

Thursday was a late lunch day for us. Our server had everything set up for us when we arrived and continued to treat us as if we were house guests. Our hot entrees were so delicious and prepared to each of our seasoning satisfactions thanks to their caring gourmet chef. Our relaxing enjoyable meal was topped off with their homemade key lime pie desserts. Looking forward to our next visit to this marvelous restaurant in a country setting while actually only 15 minute drive from Paoli,PA business district. Highly recommend.

Tonight, was the second altercation with LeeAnn in the last few months. Her behavior was so noticable that the two gentlemen next to me thought 'she could not have been serious' when she lashed-out at me. About five people at the bar looked at me in agreement. We were seated by a window with a pretty view of the patio. Wait staff is always friendly and service was quick. Our requests were met and the food was tasty.
We really enjoy gourmet chef's lunch menu. Choices are plentiful and portions heaping and always prepared carefully meeting special dietary needs. Servers are always thoughtful and customer focused. So glad to have found this via Restaurant dot com. Charming interior nestled in scenic countryside although short drive from Route 30 in Malvern.

4 of the 5 entrees arrived in a timely fashion. The 5 was delayed about 10 minutes later which was unacceptable. Considering the prices at this restaurant at least the manager should have come around and offered his apology. The food was well prepared and the service was satisfactory.

It's was just perfect to enjoy a special lunch with white linen tablecloths o the sunny front room of the Tavern. Tasty food choices, healthy with elegant presentation. Service was top notch, attentive yet relaxed. Will come back!

Thanks to our thoughtful server Katie, our first meals were really delicious. My large entree-size Cobb salad with warm chicken was very good. While my husband's crab-stuffed hot Portobello mushroom dish was wonderful, he felt it was not plentiful enough as a main entree. Since he was still hungry he followed up ordering a large side of chicken tenders that were really enjoyable. Next time he plans to order a double order of the same cooked crab entree, which he considered to be a real lunch treat.
The patrons at the table next to us were very loud and the more they drank the louder they got.

THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. WE WERE PROMPTLY ACKNOWLEDGED AND SERVED DRINKS. ORDERING WAS EFFICIENT. HOWEVER WE WAITED AT LEAST 45 MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD. WHEN IT CAME OUT IT CAME ONE MEAL AND THEN A FIVE MINUTE WAIT, ETC.

We sat at the bar,I ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich, it was not prime rib, I could taste more horse radish than roast beef. The dipping sauce was like a weak chicken gravy not au jus. I took one bite and could not eat it. The server did not check to see how our meal was. My husband ate it seeing we were paying for it but felt the same way I did. My husband has the crab cake sandwich, he said it was good. We were watching the Nova celebration on TV, we thought the sound should have been on seeing this was exciting, then for some reason she changed the channel on the TV we were watching.
While my experience was an overall good one the noise level in the porch was very loud early on because ot the bar noise .Later as that quieted a waitress took over the sound bombardment.She was so loud we had to stop our conversation until she was done

We do love Cedar Hollow Inn. I have never had a bad meal there. I usually order from the lighter menu and it is the perfect portion size. I highly recommend the Avocado Shellfish Tower. Tonight my husband had the lamb chops with winter vegetables. We will definitely recommend this Resturant !

Waitress, Stephanie was great. Disappointed with the Mahi Mahi. Some of the Mahi should have been cut off-dark color. Scallops not fully cooked on Mahi special. Yellow beans not cut - too long to handle, not a good presentation.

The porch is very pleasant except for the excessive noise coming from the bar. A door at the entryway would solve this--it's really quite annoying.
Alcohol is excluded from the restaurant.com gift certificate. Therefore, I feel that we should have been able to take advantage of the Tuesday half price bottle of wine special. We made a special point to dine there on a Tuesday and we were very disappointed that we could not take advantage of both deals.

I had specifically asked for a special table when I made our reservations. When we arrived, there was a party in that room so we had to be seated elsewhere. Very disappointing because we were celebrating our 40th anniversary.

Even though the restaurant was not very crowded our group was crowded into a small space, which seemed unnecessary and made the dining less pleasant than it could have been. The food and service were adequate but not exceptional.

Food is of excellent quality but underseasoned and over priced. For example: Bacon Blue cheese croquettes contained very little blue cheese and bacon, and a lot of potato, they were OK, but could have been a lot better. The coriander crusted scallops and the lamb sliders needed salt. This is not much to ask from a restaurant that likes to charge as much as they do. Salt is such a basic seasoning that this shouldn't happen.

Restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the waitress was friendly. I ordered the dinner special which was a bone-in NY strip steak. There was more cartaledge than bone, and I had to leave more than half on the plate because it was too tough to chew, and it was not medium rare as requested. The steak was $32. Would not have been a bad price if I could eat the whole thing. Drinks cost $8 even over happy hour. We will not return to dine here.

Discovered this restaurant by working in the area. Love the charm and atmosphere and good food. Disappointed they were out of the lobster appetizer but other than that totally enjoyed our visit.
Great service! Diverse menu with lots of intersting dishes. Had the quesadillas and the parrot fish special entree, mussels and clam app, great prickly pear drink. Will return!

The service was great. The food was good, we had the lobster rolls, they were way over cooked and the cheese plate which was delicious but, not to be snooty, it would have been a lot better served with toasted bread not crackers. The cheese selection was really varied and it tasted wonderful, it would of had a smoothness to it with the bread.

Our server last night in the dining room was just lovely. She was attentive without being overbearing. She added to our dining pleasure. The food, as usual, was good; although my husband thought his pork chops were a tad too tough. Still, we love the menu and will return.
I found the 20% mandatory gratuity for a party of 3 to be surprising and limiting of individual choice/discretion. The restaurant should provide more vegetarian options.

We really like Cedar Hollow but the food was not hot when it arrived. I mentioned this to the server and she said the plate is cold but the food just came out of the oven. The icy cold plate made the food less desirable. It was tasty but not warm. Also, we did not order drinks this time nor an appetizer. Our servers was less perhaps because of the simple meal we order. We had to ask for our server at the end to remove plates and get the check. This is not their typical service, so we will go back to see if it was the server or overall change in their attention to detail.

Our servers were awesome! Several members of our group changed seats to facilitate conversation, and the servers still delivered the food correctly and cheerfully accommodated drink orders at various times.
Food was very good, service was friendly and attentive and the prices were very reasonable.
We had a lovely visit. Our server Jamie was very helpful and food arrived and was removed without interruption of our conversation. Great dning experience.
The only "bad" comment I would make is that the Prime Ribs that my wife and I had contained a little too much fat.

atmosphere nice... food very so-so, short ribs tasted like pot roast with gravy, shrimp with surf and turf would have been much better with butter... remoloude sauce too strong and did not go with the dish.. 2 martinis at bar were $25... steep in my opinion.. next time we will try the beer and small plates..

The sweet potato fries were a little over done, but otherwise everything was great.
We have visited Cedar Hollow many times and have enjoyed their consistent excellence. We love the atmosphere, the menu, the quality and the value. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Had the lobster Ravioli and felt it was tasteless with broth sauce vs cream sauce.. Love the rest of the menu but was very disappointed in the ravioli... Really feel it needs to be reworked. Felt it was frozen,tasteless lobster and crab.

my husband had a wonderful chippino ,and our friend enjoyed the shaved prime rib , however I had eggplant parm which was burnt . I should have sent it back but I didn't hoping that it was not burned through out, but it was . This was a dissappointment .

Unfortunately the atmosphere was very different from what was expected from reviewing the website. Cedar Hollow Inn was very noisy and the service while pleasant, was far from refined. The food was well prepared, but uninspired. Perhaps the dining room would have been better, but the website implies that the veranda is the place for a romantic dining experience so that is where my boyfriend and I requested to sit. Huge mistake. The veranda is right next to the bar making it extremely noisy. My boyfriend even complained that the chairs were uncomfortable and he could tell his salad dressing was store bought. If you just want to eat out Cedar Hollow Inn is just fine. If you want to have a special dinner for a special occasion Cedar Hollow is not the place to go.
Some of the food had too much pepper. Soup and ribs had too much pepper. Also someone who wasn't handicapped parked in the handicapped parking space which since I can't walk well or far really ticked me off.

The Chef was out and half the kitchen staff for the Chef's wedding - understandable, but apparently the restaurant made no provisions for coverage. It took an hour to get our meal and the food was terrible. Tasteless, overcooked, awful presentation. For the price, it was a great disappointment. A couple at the next table were complaining of a similar experience this evening.

My NY Strip steak was not a good cut of meat and our server's attitude was not empathetic throughout
We really enjoyed everything. Our waitress was very accommodating. We had a one year old with us, so her kindness was greatly appreciated.

Food is too pricey. I wouldn't go without a coupon. Chicken Sandwich & Fries $11.50 Salad $9.50. Both were good.
Had a great time. Everyone enjoyed our visit to Cedar Hollow. Food and service are well worth the drive.

We always have a great meal at Cedar Hollow. The wild mushroom bisque is superb.

We had to wait a long time for our food to arrive at our table. Even after ordering drinks, it took awhile for them to come as well.
Lauren was our server. She was sweet and polite. Food was excellent, and atmosphere delightful.
The "pub" food is acceptable; however, tonight we skipped the "pub" food and went for a "real" meal. Made a mistake - the presentation was horrible, taste of food just ok. Not worth what we paid.
The quality of the bread was very poor, and the fish dishes tasted as if they had been frozen.
Need to improve your rolls and butter. Rolls were extremely dry and butter was hard as rock and refrigerating tasting.
Lunchtime was busy but our server expedited our order for us to make a scheduled appointment. Great food and wonderful service!
Food was improperly cooked, Waited a long time for the food and it was not crowded at all... Very loud due to the bar being right there...Didn't even stay for dessert...Not a good date night out.
Entree selections were somewhat limited.
Rolls were very hard and dry. Soup was overly peppered, and the person in our party who ordered it enjoys peppery food, but he even said it was excessive and unusual for clam chowder. Specific requests were ignored by preparers...I asked for veggies to be well cooked and they came back crunchy and undercooked. I asked for dressing on the side and it came on the salad. I had to ask for my water glass to be filled. Waitress didn't ask how our meals were till we were completely done eating. Our entrees were good, but the over all experience did not live up to other dining establishments we go to of the same price range.
I work in the area and have been there on occasion for lunch. This was the first time I went there for dinner. My waitress was very nice and very efficient. Young gal, dark hair. Food was really good!
